Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued notification for Indian Forest Service Exam 2011 (IFS Exam 2011). Exam will be commencing from 9th July, 2011.
Candidates are required to apply. Candidates residing in remote areas specified in para 6 of IFS Exam 2011 Notice have the option to apply online mode or offline through New Common Application Form (Form-E).
Qualification required is Bachelor’s degree with at least one of these subjects Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering. Age limit is 21-30 years.
Only 4 attempts are permissible for General category candidates, only 7 attempts for OBCs and there is no limit for SCs/STs.
Candidates from Specified Remote Areas applying Online are required to submit fee Rs.100 through SBI bank or by using net banking facility of SBI or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit card. Candidates from Specified Remote Areas applying Offline are required to submit application fee Rs.200 through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp. There is no fee for Female/SCs/STs/Physically Handicapped candidates.
Candidates from Specified Remote Areas applying Offline should use only black ballpoint pen for filling up New Common Application Form.
